The Living Desert - Glow in the Park April 2023

Had the opportunity to visit the Living Desert in Palm Desert, CA for the first time with friends and see the Glow in the Park lanterns and displays after walking through the zoo.  The zoo is cool, especially the giraffes and light displays throughout the park were beautiful.  Will have to go back with my wife who wasn't feeling well and wasn't able to join us.

Salton Sea/Bombay Beach October 2022

The Salton Sea is about an hour south of Palm Springs, created there in 1905 when the Colorado River breached a dike and flooded for two years. It was once a popular southern California tourist attraction, but over the years the lake has been abandoned as waters grow increasingly toxic. More

Bombay Beach, on the north shore,  is now a mostly mobile home "community" where artists/taggers have created what a friend described as post-apocalyptic.

SF Bay Area September 2022

For a very, very long time my older son Matt and I promised we would do a father/son get together and go out and explore and shoot pictures. We finally made the time and visited Pt. Reyes, and the redwoods in Oakland. We also went to a great vista to see the Golden Gate Bridge at night - however the fog was so think we couldn't even see the bridge. It was wonderful to spend time with Matt, his gf Chelsea and grand-dog Tiki.

Some of the pics are are shown below. Some of the redwood shots are shown in color & b&w (I'm a fan of the b&w versions).

Thanks to Matt & Chelsea for a wonderful weekend (and giving me the king size bed)!
